I have been teaching workshops at yoga studios all over the nation for the
past 10 years. There is nothing and I mean NOTHING like King Yoga. Nestled
in the Rockies, welcoming vibe, and none of the fancy-pants mumbo jumbo
you see at some studios. This is down-to-earth, real, authentic yoga with
founder and legendary teacher Aaron King's special touch. Awesome in every
way a studio can be awesome.
Upon entering this soothing space with its cork floors and warm Asian
palette, there is a palpable fellowship with other students as our minds
calm and our breath slows. We gently arrive on our mats in anticipation of
practicing what Aaron calls a moving meditation. With a seemless Vinyasa
flow, the beat of Om Namah Shivaya or Luther Allison, and Aaron's quietly
tuned instruction for every movement, a beautiful emptiness fills each of
us with the spirituality and physicality of a King Yoga practice. Aaron,
always sensitive to our bodies and the energy of the class, brings his
students to an incredible sense of peace and well-being, as we leave this
haven often drenched, and "so blissed out."
You are the best AK!
Besides strengthening my body and finding greater balance in both body and mind on and off the mat. One of the most valuable things I have learned from practicing with Aaron is to be less reactionary. I find myself staying very calm in challenging situations and can feel that this is coming from a place I have learned in my studies with Aaron.
